I have released a new version of my flash ecommerce storefront system in a market that really has very little. I was looking for people to give me some reviews, ideas, tips, and ideas.

visit http://www.levelfourstorefront.com and go to the demo section to view it.

Any ideas about design, usability, and featues would be most welcome. I accept criticism well!!!

thank you.

May I ask why you chose to do this in Flash? With Flash being so horrible for SEO and most web stores wanting to be found in the search engines (and ranked well of course) this would seem like the anti-feature more then anything else.

besides SEOing? have any design or feature considerations?

...

to answer your question though, SEOing is not to useful for 95% of small businesses who will never compete on the open search engine market. AND my thoughts have always been if you have a store with something that valuable, you will receive SE results that represent that. Flash or no flash, have a classy, well established business with products people want, then you will get the good old fashioned hits, every other tactic to get better placement is just smoke screen.

blah blah, I"m bantering on, this is always a never ending back and forth battle about flash SEOing, some industries just like flash...

perhaps in future releases, there will be a feasible release where flash can be SEO'd as powerfully as standard pages...

Alot of what I would have said has been covered already ie. SEO.

However, one thing that did hit me in the face was the you have empty CART and view SHOPPING BAG surely that is two names for the same thing?

I think the flash works ok. It was easy to navigate. Only thing I noticed was when viewing the shopping cart items, it didn't state the color of the items as I was given the option to choose before adding it.

The shopping cart presentation worked well and was clean and easy to navigate. Obviously very well thought through. The main website pages appear to be truncated a tad on my system however (IE 6, Win XP, 1280x1024). Specifically, the two graphic elements at the bottom of the pages next to the "all rights reserved" text look truncated.

Mr. Jones,

I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation. I am probably going to purchase your Flash Store as a personal learning resource.

It was clear that you take great personal pride in your product by the sheer joy you exhibited in over an hours worth of great tutorials.

In my humble opinion this is a must see site for all flashers whether you need e-comm or not. Actual screen shots of timeline, action script. classes, Flash Remoting, Payment Gateway and a nice Flash Scripted PayPal Buy Now button ... Free!!!
