I hope this quick tutorial will solve your problem.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor...dges/final.jpg
- Create new image at the correct size for you.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor...dges/start.gif - Paste your photo into it. Then Create a new layer.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor.../new_layer.gif - Next drag this layer behind you photo’s layer.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor...drag_layer.gif - Now fill this layer using the paint bucket. Use the color white.
- Next right click on the shape icon and select rounded rectangle.
- Set the radius of the corner to 25px.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor...ges/radius.gif - Next, drag the rounded rectangle out so that it covers the entire image.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor...nded_cover.gif - Then control + click on the icon shown in the image below. This is on the layers palette.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor...trol_click.gif - You should now have little dots around your rounded rectangle.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor...edges/dots.gif - Select the rectangle marquee tool.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor...es/marquee.gif - Hold down control and drag two marquees out (one at a time)over the corners that you do not which to be rounded.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor...es/corners.gif - Next click “select>inverse” and then click on your photo layer.
http://www.photoshopthis.co.uk/tutor...es/inverse.gif - Then hit “delete” on your keyboard. Then hit “ctrl+D” on your keyboard.
- Now, right click on your layer with the rounded rectangle on it in the layer palette and select “delete”. Then select yes in the dialog box.
