Logitech Quick Cam Pro 5000 Help

I have this Webcam....It works really good, it has a built in mic. But when I turn on the the computer after installing the drivers for this webcam and restarting the computer....i get a scratchy noise through my speakeers......I went into device manager and diabled the microphone and I get 100% good sound on the pc. Is there a way that I can keep the mic and continue having good sound???
