I use a MSI motherboard, and currently one single 512MB DDR ram chip. I have two slots on the baord.

I want to know if with the existing 512BM card, can i simultaneously use a 1GB chip??

Also, if the above method is not possible, should i go for an upgrade to 1GB RAM or 2GB??

You should be able to use both. You can check the pc or motherboard manufacturer's website to make sure.
