Computer Randomly restarts

Hello, Ive been having this problem for the longest time, over a year, ive been trying to fix it myself by going to sites like this and reading post much like this one. I troubleshooted the best I can, bought new RAM, and power supply. Finally thinking i fixed my computer from randomly restarting after spending all this money only to find out that I still get random resets.

I downloaded all the window updates, updated my video drivers the best i could, and it still is acting up. I'm thinking it might be bios but i have no idea how to fix that. Most of the time it restarts when im playing computer games, doesnt matter what game, and sometimes when it restarts it freezes on a black screen, only after the Windows logo loads up. Also my computer locks up and it looks like it skips every 30 secs or so, if you know what i mean, like my fps is extremly low, unable to do really anything.

Random restarts are usually caused by spyware and/or viruses.
Make sure you scanned your computer and have your favourite Antivirus software uptodate. It is strongly recommended that you scan your computer against spyware using tools like Spybot Search & Destroy.
Nobody made a bigger mistake, than he who did nothing because he thought he could only do a little.

I can think of some other causes for random restarts:

- Damage left behind by viruses, spyware, or power failures could have corrupted some system files

- A loose connector

- Bad power (surges or sags)

- Static electricity

- A failing power supply

- A bad motherboard or card

- A high powered radio transmitter operating within a few blocks (broadcast, police, ham, or RADAR)

- Detritus which has fallen on the motherboard

- Poorly written software

- A ground loop (usually caused where two peripherals connected to the computer are also connected to each other)

- Neon signs

- Ionizing air fresheners

- Lightning-induced currents

- Zxnrbled hard disk format

- High voltage leak in the monitor

If i am helpful, please give me reputation points.

Make sure that all your cables are plugged in and that if you have an external battery that it is securly attached. Also have you tried contacting your manufacturer?

i know its not a virus cause i have spybot search and destory and addware that i use and it still restarts when i play computer games.
Dont think its overheating, also when my computer starts back up after a restart a windows reporting error pops up, that doesnt help me at all.
