Hello,

I'm having trouble with my Sony Vaio Laptop -- it's a 2004 pcg-k23. But the problem doesn't seem very complicated..i just can't find the solution. My Fn key is broken, and i was wondering if there were any alternatives -- 3rd party programs -- that would let me change brightness/ volume/ and such.. Thank you for responses ahead of time~!

Janyu-

Edit: Main problem: My laptop is on the lowest brightness at the moment(very dark)..hard to read..just annoying on my eyes.

You can adjust the brightness i think in the BIOS.

I don't really know of any 3rd party apps that does whet you want.

Find out if something has ever remapped your keyboard (e.g. foreign language or Dvorak mapping). It may have thrown away the special mapping for the Fn key.
