DM Entertainment is currently looking for people skilled in the programming language of C++ who are interested and have free time capable of taking on a job to develop the core game engine, as an assistant, to the current main project of the newly formed DM Entertainment.

About DM Entertainment

DM Entertainment is a very very small company who is currently developing an MMORPG called The Chronicles of Lorian. DM Entertainment is currently working independent with very small time investors backing the initial stages of development. DM Entertainment intends on moving itself and the game it is producing forward to become fully corporate and sell the new game at a competitive retail level.

About The Chronicles of Lorian

I cannot tell you much about the game due to confidentiality reasons, but as a summary. The Chronicles of Lorian is an MMORPG that will be focused on bringing more realistic worldly interactions, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion as an example, and Player vs Player combat more into focus than traditional MMORPGs. We do not intend on creating a system nearly as complex as the one used in games like The Elder Scrolls series, but a system that allows for players to get together and interact with a changing world, instead of the traditional run, grab quest, kill, return, reward, rinse, repeat. Players will be able to cause effects that will impact the playing world globally as two different factions consisting of five races each compete against each other in a war that was started half a decade before the game takes place.

About the Position
DM Entertainment has a variety of positions left to fill. Most needed at the moment are dedicated individuals who have worked with and have a fairly strong knowledge of C++ and some various network architectures. Assistant programmers will work with some already employeed programmers who have began work on the engine already.

It is however important that one thing be understood. DM Entertainment is currently unable to guarantee a final payment amount. Payment is a COC, or Compensation on Completion, which all developers will be payed for work they have done. Payment does stand a chance of being changed. As the game development progresses and the game becomes more completed and more stable, DM Entertainment and project leaders will be making trips to have meetings with various people of various companies, ex. Microsoft, to discuss a more stable financial backing than that which we currently have which covers our bare necessities.

Also, all employees will be required to sign Confidentiality Agreements, like-wise known as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). This will be to ensure that developers who decide to leave the team at any point in time, or that are removed from the team cannot redistribute in any form for any reason any work that was done and put into the project. This is for the safety of other developers and the company's own sake of protecting conceptual designs.

DM Entertainment, working independently at the current time, wants to promote a relaxed working environment. Work and communication is done over the internet using such technologies as Ventrillo, IRC, SVN, Mailing Lists, and private developer forums. As we are not paying at the current moment and can only offer a guaranteed compensation for all those who are in the project until the end, or honorary leaves, we expect that our developers will carry on regular lives with regular careers. We work on the basis of dedication in free-time. Meetings occur once a week to ensure status checks and that everyone continues working as intended and that people do not start to slack and slow the development down, but we do not expect the developers to give up their livelihood and career to work on this project. This is meant to be both educational and entertainment for all who are involved, while providing a very positive and organized future that will aim to not only provide a Grade A retail MMORPG for gamers, but to reach a point for a substantial amount of compensation for quality work put in.

DM Entertainment has updated it's policies concerning recruitment. Anyone who is interested in working for DM Entertainment on the Chronicles of Lorian or any other projects from DM Entertainment should be aware and accepting of the new policy concerning Confidentiality Agreements, also known as an NDA. DM Entertainment takes this step in an effort to secure the work of the team and its developers individually. You may fully review the new policy information HERE
