Hi,

I would really appreciate it if some of you more experienced designers and programmers would review my site and really rip it to shreds.

URL: http://www.theecuatraveler.com

It is a travel website about Ecuador, South America.

Thank you very much!

James

first, i don't really like your chosen domain name.. it's doesn't describe your website that easy to understand.. anyway it's there so lets get focus on your site..

i found some parts of your page which have pretty small texts which i had a hard time reading it.. i suggest you try to make it a little larger considering that the average screen resolution now is higer than 800x600..

and i also suggest that you change the tex/link colors of your adsense for it to blend more appropriate to your sites layout.. :-)

Your web is well. Anyway I see on the right more content than on the left, there is an space in white. The logo is very simple. Internal links have the same title, use differentes titles for url...

I think you site looks good i would work on the banner photoshop and jasc are good for making profesional looking banners. I would also work on the lay out as jhon101 mentioned as you go down the page the left side runs out of material while the right keeps going i would try to balance it last you have borders around you subjects which is good for seperation but some are solid borders while others arent for perfesionalism i would make them all either solid or not. But i do think it looks good. Good luck with your site

Homemadey? How so?

I am sure you are right, seeing how this is the first relatively big website I have ever put together...

So, what can I do to make it look less "homemadey"?

well the columns look a bit homemade in taht one is wayy longer than the other one and also there is a big space between your 2nd and 3rd column and at the bottom there is a title saying Home with nothing below it.
