Hi, as a new website developer I was curious as to what the average visit duration statistics would be for a pretty well established informative niche website.

My stats right now are roughly:

0-30 seconds: 35% of visits
30s-2mn: 12%
2mn-5mn: 12%
5mn-15mn: 10%
15mn-30mn: 10%
30mn-1hr: 10%
1hr+: 10%

I am a little concerned that over 1/3 of my visitors are clicking right throught the site (0-30secs). Is this normal?

I have a feeling that people are probably going to say that it all depends on the site, which I understand, but please if possible help me to figure out what a rough average would be for a informative (not commercial) niche site. My particular site is a travel website for Ecuador, South America...

Thank you for you help and time!

This is normal. The 0-30 second stats are even higher the more traffic you get from search engines. Usability and good navigation and a good landing page will help improve this data.
