Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and just thought it would be a good idea to get some feedback on my last design - have a look at Website Design Company.

I look forward to hear your opinion.

Thanks

the site looks great...

how about optimizing the site for 1024*768 instead of 800*600.
n when a message has been sent, i guess saying that the message has been received will be better than saying that the mail has been sent

Thanks gomzi,

Good point with the message.
In terms of the dimentions - I think I'll stay with 800*600 - even thou I understand that there aren't that many people who are still using that kind of resolution but I think that the structure of the site itself doesn't really need the wider area - perhaps if I was using some advertising banners and so on it would be good to change it but for the content which I have I think I'll stay whith this resolution.

Thanks for you post - much appreciated.

Nice clean simple and professional design. The only crit would be that the mouse overs are little too light. I would have made them darker.

About the res, yeah some people still use 800x600 but it's becoming increasingly rare as time goes by.

Most people these days design websites at 1280 x800 without even batting an eyelid.

The problem is not that it is designed for 800x600 or 1024x800 etc. The problem is that it is a fixed width rather than a fluid width. Html was designed to be fluid so that a web page would alter itself to the size of the window. This doesn't do it. It is one of the problems that a lot of CMS s have.

I personally hate fluid web design where the text dynamically moves when you adjust the width of your browser. It is so yesterday and the less I see of those sites the happier I am

Its a classic old Brunel University self taught design for a third year project write-up - (800x600 centered). but I would like to know that i'm on a different page with a different colour scheme maybe or a different picture. Just something to tell me i'm on a differnt page.

Also no home page button for easy nav to get me home is easily visible - maybe to you who designed it but not to the user.
lastly, i'm sceptical that the images are your own, if they are then cool. It just feels to rigid a site. All the pages are just the same amount of text-text-text.

Hey everyones a critic, but you did ask
