Dearest One,
I am the only Daughter of my late parents Mr.and Mrs.Bayo .A, George. My father was a highly reputable busnness magnet who operated in the capital of Ivory coast during his days.
It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously in France during one of his business trips abroad on the 12th September 2003. Though his sudden death was linked or rather suspected to have been masterminded by an uncle of his who travelled with him at that time. But God knows the truth! My mother died when I was just 6yrs old, and since then my father took me so special.
Before his death on September 2003, he called me and informed me that he has the sum of Ten Million, Seven Hundred thousand United State Dollars.(USD$10,700,000.00)left in fixed deposit account in one of the leading banks in Africa. He further told me that he deposited the money in my name, and also gave me all the necessary but legal documents to this fund with the bank.
I am just 21 years old and a university undergraduate and really don't know what to do. Now I want an account overseas where I can transfer this funds and after the transaction I will come and reside permanently in your country till such a time that it will be convinient for me to return back home if I so desire. This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory coast. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life. I also want to invest the fund under your care because I am ignorant of business world.
I am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards. Your suggestions and ideas will be highly regarded. Now permit me to ask these few questions:
1. Can you honestly help me from your heart?
2. Can I completely trust you?
3. What percentage of the total amount in question
will be good for you after the money is in your
account?
Please, consider this and get back to me as soon as possible. Immedaitely I confirm your willingness, I will send to you The Detail and also inform you more details involved in this matter.
Kind Regards,
Miss Anne Marie Bayo

I hate stuff like that, ughh....
I am nothing special; of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts, and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough. -The Notebook
I have not received any PMs like that; but, I have received numerous e-mails of similar nature. Looking at the address provided makes me wonder what that service provider may be doing with people's address books. It seems that my own account through them is the one under assault by phishing scams and spam alike. My two other e-mail accounts seem to suffer no such problem. Might be a good idea to edit your address book, and watch where you visit on the web. Sad to see this stuff...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guard my email address with a passion and don't get any spam, scams, or phishing expeditions. In the two years that I have been on line this is the first time that I have received anything other than messages from members, and I thought that you would not be able to pm me without being a member. Hopefully a moderator will see this and be able answer that question and perhaps look into taking this member out of the loop.
Edit: Huzzah, I just went back to that pm and checked the user's profile and they are banned. Obviously someone else is thinking the same way, my thanks to the responsible moderator.

If you get spam PMs again, I suggest forwarding them to one of the administrators -- Dani (cscgal) or Davey (happygeek), and they will take care of such matters quickly.

Interesting. Google search turns up for "Miss Anne Marie Bayo"
Looks like she's having a really rough life. So are her parents -- all six of them.

Apparently My late father, had provided for us afterall! My father Leon Basile Bayo was in the neighbouring country doing very well in ivory and pine apple trade.

There's a simple explanation as to why the girl has six parents, Walt: They're adopted--- along with the stories she writes, and any sponsors she manages to collect(from) along the way...
The really sad thing is that someone, somewhere, will fall for this stuff.
By the way--- I like your narrative interpretation. It's creative...
