BASIC FUNCTION
Manages the technology used to support online inititaives and vision. This position is accountalbe for: content management process and system; taxonomy management; content classification standards; user experience; data analysis and reporting; online application specifications and integration needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Manages the necessary technologies and partners required to support online initiatives.
2. Develops and maintains content classification schema and taxonomy.
3. Provides input on information architecture.
4. Conducts user experience testing and makes recommendations for site and usability improvements.
5. Heads the cross-fuctional team responsible for public and private Web sites.
6. Translates user and business requirements into applications specifications and manages their development and deployment.
7. Is not responsible for issues of design, editorial, content, and other issues of style. These elements are the responsibility of the publications representative on the crossfunctional team.
8. Seeks to integrate new technology that will enhance site users’ experiences.
9. Works closely with Enterprise-wide Applications Manager to ensure a high level of support and integration between the Web-related technologies and those used elsewise.
10. Recommends technology-based solutions to departments to improve work and service efficiencies.
11. Develops and maintains budget for Online Services
12. Knowledge of Content Management System, CommonSpot a plus.
13. Knowledge of ASP.Net, Coldfusion a plus
OTHER DUTIES
Other duties as assigned or requested.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
· Bachelors or equivalent computer degree and training
· Knowledge of Web related best practices
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills
· Excellent project management skills
