When I boot up my computer for the first few minutes it's normal. Everything lworks. After 5 minutes, the taskbar changes to the old windows gray color and my voume doesn't work.

The speakers are working and all plugged in correctly but in the sound devices it says there is no audio device. IE has also reverted to 98 style gray.

I've run anti virus anti spyware etc but they've produced nothing. there's another thread on this but it didnt really give any solutions.

cant work it out. anyone got an idea?

hi, solved it by updating. the update took about 2 hours to install but it worked fine after that. THANKS anyway for you help.
