I am working on a friends machine that is infected with viruses and spyware. I ran spybot and keep getting Smitfraud-c. I've also ran AVG a few times, and I may have everything cleared up. Also, when I try going to a website I keep getting invalid syntax error. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

have you tried disconnecting from the net before you do the scans and also could be wise to turn off system restore if that don't work run the scan in safemode.

I have tried running the scan in safe mode. It reappears. Any more ideas. Is there anything fishy with my HiJackThis log?
