Hi
I'd appreciate help regarding following issue: I've moved from Windows to Mandrakelinux 10.0 (some 250 re-installations/10 days ago
; worst problem I have with drivers is problem with nVidia FX 5200 (with tv-out). After I had downloaded new drivers from their site (nv 5336) and installed them, card seems to work just fine, but I cannot get tv-out function. Here's XF86Config-4:

Kernels shoud match, no problems reported while the nVidia installer was building and installing a custom one (for 2.6.3-7mdkenterprise).
I've crashed down X so many times playing with these drivers; it makes me feel like i'm running WXP in the box, again
Anyway, i'd appreciate an idea where to start from in order to have my tv displaying DivX again. Thanks

I've edited my XF86Config-4 device part:
Section "Device"
Identifier "device1"
VendorName "NVidia"
BoardName "NVIDIA GeForce FX (generic)"
Driver "nvidia"
Option "DPMS" "on"
Option "MetaModes" "1152x864, 1152x864; 1024x768, 1024x768; 800x600, 800x600; 640x480, 640x480"
Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "60"
Option "TVStandard" "PAL-B"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT, TV"
Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone"
Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-50"
Option "TwinView"
Option "IgnoreEDID" "1"
Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPOSITE"
EndSection
Actually, it is not working like this, but when I want to watch movies on tv, i log as root, delete first option in "MetaModes" so it looks like this:
Option "MetaModes" "1024x768, 1024x768; 800x600, 800x600; 640x480, 640x480"
reboot, and the tv-out is working. I'm glad I don't watch movies too much, it's a lots of typing everytime I want to see a DivX. Anyone has an idea how to work this around or make it more comfortable (while keeping my 17'' monitor and 1152x864 resolution on) ? Also, if I change option "TwinViewOrientation" to "Dual", tv becomes primary display, and X cannot be started... Have to repair that too (suggestions are most welcome)... Thanks
