Built-in authentication and authorization of svnserve

This regards to the limiting the access to the files and folders of the repositories, i have added the files(svnserve.conf & passwd file) and their respective entries to my repository, after that, it requires to restart the svnserve daemon, so my question is, what is the process in restarting the daemon or how to restart svnserve daemon?
