Extra Credit Suggestions?

Hey guys,
I'm in a red hat cmd line class. I'm on the boarder of not having to take the final exam and am looking for ideas for a pretty simple extra credit project?
I know basic cmds and how to write basic scripts. any clue on what i could do? maybe a script that simplifies an every day task?

It is practically impossible to teach good programming style to students that have had prior exposure to Basic; as potential programmers they are mentally mutilated beyond hope of regeneration.
