Thanks for the advice. I have completed the regime given to me by the tech. I've used at least 6 ad/spyware programs consistently. I think my problems started when pop-ups came up and my neices just clicked "yes" to anything. I started getting sex stuff and other weird pop-ups and emails. I know I have probably helped get myself into the fix I'm in, but I would really like to know what is going on and how to recognize and avoid these problems. Some of the problems clear up temporarily after running one or two of the programs, but they come back. The problems I am still having are
1. Network error unable to read url from host g.msn.com: connection reset by peer
2. Unable to contact host
3. About.blank
4. Instead of pictures, I get x with a box around it

Sometimes I can't access the net at all after 5 to 10 min. So I reboot. I can go for about 5-10 min again until I can't access anything, so I reboot, etc, etc

I listed these problems in a previous thread and was told to use these programs in this order
CWShredder
Ad-Aware
Spybot
Hijachthis

dont have time to fully go through it. but i can say right now. Fix all 01 entries they are always bad.

Please Download CWShredder from HERE and run the Program in safe mode . Press the "Fix Button" Let it fix all variants. Next, Close the program and all windows and IE windows and run hijackthis and Post a Fresh log.

Then these 2 programs .
Ad-Aware and Spybot

Download the latest version of Ad-Aware at ADAWARE

Setup Ad-Aware .
After installing AAW, and before running the program, update reference files by using the bottom right button in the program, labeled "Check for Updates."

Launch the program, and click on the Gear at the top of the start screen.

Click the "Scanning" button.
Under Drives & Folders, select "Scan within Archives".
Click "Click here to select Drives + folders" and select your installed hard drives.

Under Memory & Registry, select all options.
Click the "Advanced" button.
Under "Log-file detail", select all options.
Click the "Tweaks" button.

Under "Scanning Engine", select the following:
"Include additional Ad-aware settings in logfile" and
"Unload recognized processes during scanning."
Under "Cleaning Engine", select the following:
"Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."
Click on 'Proceed' to save these Preferences.
Please make sure that you activate IN-DEPTH scanning before you proceed

Download SPYBOT

After installing Spybot S&D, update it by using the "Update" button on the left panel of the program. Search for updates and download anything it finds

And after that, please do the following:

reboot computer and post a new log

Adsubtrack is the problem. I have been working on the sane problem for days. I have debugged my computer like you have and after stopping Adsubtack the problem has gone. I might looking at the poxy setting but its late.

That's it!!!!!!!!!!! I feel SOOOO dumb! That was so easy. Thanks a lot. But at least I know the procedure if I have other problems, so I still learned something!

Caperjack is right. You have been hijacked by newdotnet & have other problems that need rectifying.
