One more question. Do I need antivirus software for linux if so where do I get it from?

there is under 200 viruses for linux - most of them dont really do much, there mainly proof of concepts designed to annoy and are easialy removed.
Of the ones that can actually do damage, there mainly aimed at older software or spftware with insecure configurations (server software in particular).
So long as you only download software from reputable repositories and be careful about what programs you allow unrestricted access (in kubuntu thats where it asks you to type in your password) then you stand a very slim chance of ever getting a virus.
If you want peace of mind though, clamav isnt all that heavy on system resources and its easy to set up.
