Help Ms Access Data Entry

  #1
May 6th, 2007
Hi - I am using Access 2002 (Office XP)

I am trying to design a database to use in my business. I have created the following tables: Suppliers, Products, Salespersons, Locations(where the products are sold).

I now want to input sales info. I need to input Daily Sales for each salesperson which would have the following information:
Salesperson - Mark
Date - 06/05/07
Location - Motor Show
Start Time - 10:00
Finish Time - 18:00

Sales per Hour (only in units - not product specific)
10:00-11:00 - 2
11:00-12:00 - 1
12:00-13:00 - 4
13:00-14:00 - 4
14:00-15:00 - 6
15:00-16:00 - 3
16:00-17:00 - 2
17:00-18:00 - 0

Sales per product (for the salesperson for the day)
Product 1 - 8
Product 2 - 10
Product 3 - 5
Product 4 - 2
Product 5 - 0
Product 6 - 1
Product 7 - 3
Product 8 - 4
Product 9 - 0

My problem is how to enter the sales information for each product whilst keeping the product linked to the Products table. I do not want to work with drop down lists as I have to enter the information for each product, every day for each salesperson.

If there is anyone who can help me with this I would very much appreciate it - also, please let me know if you would be prepared to help me with the creation of this database - (I would email a copy of what I have so far)

Many thanks

Hi,

It sounds as if you need some forms set up for data entry, which I could help you with. The forms will depend on how many products you have, etc.

Send me a message on this site and I'll let you have my email address

Denis
