Losing Icons

When I put a new site into IE 6.0 links it has the icon that the site gave it. After I reboot the computer and open IE again the icons have changed to the IE icon. If I erase the site go there and do the favorite link setup again they return. But as soon as the computer gets rebooted they are gone once again. How can I get them to stay.
