I want to develop a communication type of software, like one where u send messages to many contacts. I'm doing this for my 3rd year Informatics project.

I am starting from scratch, so i dont know how o develop it or what languae to use.

Could some1 please tell me where i could get help, and what language would be the best for such a software.

Its to send text messages.
Im kinda trying to figure out how programs like msn messenger works.
Just in my program i want it so that u can send group messages, so u can send the same message to many people at the same time.

I've been tryin to do research on this but cant find any thing anywhere. I'm tying to do something , that I have no knowledge on, so that I can learn alot by trying to develop it, I'm still 2nd year though.
