Well ya it shows the city for the IP your currently assigned and right now it shows a city 30 miles from me.......

In my case it gives me the location of the city with the nearest telephone exchange. Metyhinks this is because my ISP uses a transparent proxy

I gues daniweb has one of this function which record last IP address of user log into system and is avaible to "higher ranks". It is nice plugin that we use on our clan website, ofcourse only for admins
