can't copy and paste?

I can't copy and paste anything in any applications or browsers... Ctrl+c or any other way doesn't work. When I paste a '*' is always pasted.

I looked under Windows Clipboard Viewer and '*' is being repeatedly copied.

What is causing this??

Have you run scans for viruses and other nasties? If not I would go into safe mode and run you scans.

Have you made any changes to you OS recently?
