ipod trouble, please help

ipod is acting up, imagine that! itunes is not giving me the option to sync songs to my ipod, went to apple site and followed instructions, updated itunes, reregistered ipod, restored ipod, then got a corruption message again, restored ipod again...and still cant load songs to ipod...sure im not the first one this happened to...please help...thanks
