Help 1st Mainboard Prob

  #1
Jun 15th, 2007
When I turn on my computer it only shows the 1st Mainboard Logo Page with options that it won't acknowledge with the exception of the tab key function which tells me there is a BIOS Guard running. How can I disable the BIOS Guard?

you could check the manual for whatever keystroke you need... or you could clear the CMOS using a jumper on the motherboard (usually J6), it may be that the BIOSguard is set using a jumper and all you have to do is change it physically.

the keys are usually f1, f2, f10, f11, del, or the ibm button on the thinkpads.
