usb / network card for laptop?

I have a compaq Armada 4131T laptop from 1996 or 1997 (I got it from my uncle for free, so I'm not complaining), and it doesn't have an usb ports or network ports.

I'm pretty sure it's only compatible with the 16bit PCMCIA cards (PC Cards i think) not the newer 32bit CardBus cards.

So, I'm looking for a USB card that would be compatible with the laptop. Even if it's the old USB 1.1 it's still a big step up from none.

I'm also looking for a network card. It cannot be a modem because I want to connect it to my home network. I don't care if it's wired or wireless.

Could you please link to either or both of the above or point me in the right direction. As long as I know what I'm looking for I can purchase it (but if you link to Newegg for example, I will accept that too.)

I will really appricate any help you give me.

Thank you,

Ryan (Darrglud)
