I couldn't find a userscript for greasemonkey that removed that pesky banner at the top of the page, so I wrote this one, I've made it available here http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/10228

I believe that pesky banner pays the bills at daniweb...
Your willing to use it for free, and not pay the bills... and now remove the only source of paying bills for the site?

btw: your script still downloads the banner. So you are just hiding the advert, while taking up bandwidth and making the site (daniweb) pay for each advert impression.

If you are going to remove the advert, remove it from the DOM before it's even rendered or have the browser give a 404 for that domain. Not put a display:none on it it after its rendered and paid for.
