Vaio Heat Problem

I use a Sony VAIO laptop. For the past two days, it has been 90+ degrees in the Boston area. Today, my VAIO would not start-up. The disk drive area felt very hot. I was able to start after an hour shut-down. Is excess heat a problem with VAIO laptops?

Most computers only work between 40 and 100 degrees. Therefore if you say temperatures are 90+ then you will have problems with most computers.

Laptops are more of a problem because of the confined space that they work in.

Therefore check you have plenty of space around them. Use it on a table, rather than possible on your lap or carpet, etc. Also check that the fan comes on. If it does not come on then get it replaced.

Hope this helps

Denis
