About the Client

Our client is a leading provider of IT asset security through discovery, inventory and management solutions. The company designs, develops, sells, and supports solutions for Global 2000 organizations and managed services providers around the world.

About the Job : SQL DBA - SQL Server 2005
  • Intimate knowledge of SQL Server 2005 DB design and administration; preferably, candidate would have a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: SQL Server 2005 (MCTS) certification. An older, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) certification may also be acceptable.
  • Knowledge of XML, and a full understanding of designing SELECT...FOR XML EXPLICIT queries
  • Understanding SQL Execution Plans, and optimization techniques for SQL statements. Demonstration of knowledge of optimization concepts
  • Ability to analyze and identify database deadlocks, and provide solutions for them.
  • Any knowledge of other databases, and/or a general knowledge of DB schema design that is as database neutral and porting friendly as possible.
