pls guide me to build a asset mgmt system on VB. what are the components involve and hw do i make my system innovative than the traditional ones?

IT Asset Management System is an integrated system that enables its users to keep track of hardware maintenance and software updates that are carried out on a particular inventory. The term inventory here includes personal computers, notebooks, servers, printers, scanners, switches and so on. However, only an administrator will be able to view the reports that are generated from the system. In addition to that, the aim of this system is to establish standard for IT management.
