Hello,
My name is Ryan Graves - I am a technical recruiter with Volt Technical Resources in Redmond, WA.
I partner with technology companies primarily in the Greater Seattle area, but also nationwide, to serve as a third-party recruiter on their behalf. I only do direct placement, no contract positions - in other words, the people I work with, like you, are hired directly by my clients. I do not recruit for temp or temp-to-hire positions.
I have a client who is a gaming company in Redmond, WA, USA. They offer excellent benefits including paying all premiums for your insurance. They have had consistent growth since it's inception and are looking for a subject matter expert in Online Game Development to join their team. This position will give you the opportunity to come in to a relatively small company (around 100 people) in a highly visible role and contribute significantly to the success of their organization.
Here is the job description:
This individual will be responsible for the multiplayer technologies used by all future games developed, and will drive the long term technology strategies for multiplayer gaming. This entails developing common client and server components capable of supporting games with 2-8 players as well as larger massively multiplayer games. The position includes direct involvement in the development of in-house games using the multiplayer technology, as well as coordinating the use of the technology with external third party game developers. This is a senior position with significant responsibility and leadership growth potential.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing online games supporting as few as two players and up to the level of MMORPGs. Specifically, the ideal candidate will have hands on experience developing middleware for multiplayer games. In this senior position, your contributions will lead to significant growth in responsibilities and leadership opportunities.
You should:
have at least five years of development experience and BS in CS or related field.
be proficient in C++, .NET, C# and JavaScript.
have excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, Sockets and network security.
have experience with Microsoft SQL Server database design and programming.
If you are interested in this position, or know someone who is, please contact me at rgraves@volt.com I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Ryan Graves
