Spoofing / spamming avoiding

Hi,

I would like to learn how we could do spoof check and also how to avoid spamming. I would like to request the experts here to give me some pointers on doing this with a contact form.

You can use a CAPTCHA to deter most spam bots.
What do you mean by spoof checks?
