Thanks

you can get lots of free source code from www.gnu.org but its not likely your prof will let you get away with plagiarism.
Don't PM me with questions -- you might get a nasty PM in response. If you have a question then post it in one of the forums.

It's shocking that you could be so arrogant (or stupid) about cheating as to post your intentions on a public site!

It looks like you'll be just another kid with a BS degree working in the fast food industry.

Just curious...did you EVER attend class?????

This is one of the reasons that I prefer to hire ex military tech folks for technical jobs. At least they know how to DO something. New grads from college are pretty much useless. They need allot more training!

The OP could be the poster boy for incompetent college kids...LOL.

Just because he is so or most unfortunately you have come across many such kids doesn't makes it rightful to generalize the idea, does it?

There are really competent enough freshly graduated kids who can really do wonders. please it is my earnest request don't generalize this bcoz of the few spoilt ones in the bunch. I assure you that if u really are looking for potential talent you can harness it from fresh graduates too.

Perhaps that WAS a bit harsh, but it is a fact that there are many college grads waiting tables and working at mcDonald's (fast food).

My company is small. All of the top 20 percent are culled by the "mega companies" before they graduate. After that, we interview in the top 30 percentile where they show marginal competence. Drop below that, and all that can be said for them is that they are literate.

I don't understand why they bother going to college if they don't want to learn anything!

The OP thinks he can fake his way through life.
Doesn't he know that the boss will show him the door when it's discovered that he doesn't know a compiler from a compactor?

I don't understand it...

The other problem is that academia does a poor job of preparing students for the "real world" anyway. Too much of any curriculum is 'general studies" or "liberal arts" which, combined with a dollar, might buy a you a cup of coffee...

Sir, I do agree with you. In India too the same condition prevails where the percentage of EMPLOYABLE ENGINEERS is far less than what graduate every year. But the one who make it trough you can really see the zeal and zest in them. You must be aware that India is a hub for off shore R&D in Softwares...so please don't assume that we have surplus opportunities.

This also is very true. I hate to say but currently that innovation culture has been replaced with a job oriented study. Nobody cares if they are doing something novel and prestigious until and unless it fetches them 8+ CGPA. All this and more has spoilt the modern education strata and has left the kids with only one thing in mind. How to earn more.

I wish one day you really come accross a bunch of dynamic young lot. They just need some direction....may I say one thing. If everybody needs to be experienced and well oriented before even you hand him/her the offer then you find you have none. remember both of us started from the same place(and I've a long run ahead ) and reached where we want to.

All you need is to just push them to the right direction. you will see they are making the difference. Believe me.

I close with a hope that one day you will really start having faith on we freshers

Well what is the field you would like to work with? You should at first provide some details rather than outrightly asking you need a project.

Not only it is rude but it also depicts how lazy you are. Rather than actually finding and working on a good project you are asking in forums, on the top of it you are just blunt to make your point.

Provide us with more details and may be we can guide you. Remember Daniweb is a great place to hang onto until you adhere to the code of conduct else you don't fit in here.

Wish you all the best!
