I had been moving/copying files to an external hard drive and suddenly the following device appeared $A.G.L.M.P$. I appears to be my hard drive renamed as above. Some of my applications (OS 10.4.10 and other apps were deleted somewhere?? Some apps and data went to trash and some stayed where they were. I have checked my external drives and they are not there. I've heard about the bit-bucket, but did not believe until now.
I have erased my HD and re-installed Tiger and brought it up to date. Most, but not all of the files I copied and verified as being on my external drive are gone. My hard drive is renamed. I'd like to change it's name. How?
Any clues as to what and why? I don't want to make that misteak again.
Thanks
Bob
