All day IE 6 has gone from unable to connect to my ISP to extremely slow response. I talked with my ISP and they said that they don't see an equipment problem on their end. I ran some pings and they varied between 100% success and 25% to 50% to 75% failure. I ran a system restore to a previous good point and that didn't help. By the wat opera had the same problem as did CYTRIX. I would have swapped out the NIC card but it is build into the mother board. I already had AVG, Zone Alarm, Spyware Guard, SPYBOT S & D, ADAWARE 6.0 all updated. I just updated hijackthis to 1.98 and I would like someone to take a gander at it and see if something has slipped through the cracks.

Right now things are fine but maybe the gremlins are taking a lunch break.

I just re-read my post, finger check city. Anyway I wanted to add that I took a laptop home from work and plugged it in. I called the ISP and had them change the MAC address to match the laptop's NIC card. I was getting speed test results of over 3000 kbps where when my PC is working right I get just over a 1000. When it's not working right it gets about 30 or Zero. So I guess I've eliminated the ISP's equipment. Now I just need to see if I have a hardware or software problem. I heard that I can install a second NIC card in my PC and give that a try which I'm going to do next. In the meantime I hope someone has time to look at the log. Thanks
