well i downloaded the disk installation version. it has 3 images to make 3 install floppies. well they do work and all but installation is completely FUBAR.
first off format.exe does not work
when i type install it goes thru the normal
it thens asks "where are the install files"
i type A:, tried A:\bin and a:\freedos
then it asks where to install to
c:\DOS

well it goes fine untill it say "install base package"
insert disk 1 and press inter, well duh this IS disk1

so my question is why is it not working? i mean i am useing disk1 and i have given it about every dir on the disk.

so i decide ok, time to do it the hard way.
so i type format c: /s
it says the classic "do u want to continue"
i press 'y' but nothing, i pres agian and it drops, no errors, to a:\
i do it agian and hold y, same deal. it will not let me make the disk bootable.

so how the hell do i install freedos??? i checked the howto install guide however it seems out of date
