Help IE Status bar missing

Hi there peeps
i am having a problem with my staus bar in ie
i cant get it to stay up
i have tried all methods of unlocking my toolbars and clicking on view
status bar
but evertime i launch a new ie its missing
anyone got any ideas

Try this ,in IE go to view,clik on status bar , then open mycomputer .go to view ,and clik status bar ,then still in mycomputer go to tools /folder options /view ,clik on apply to all folders .I think that was how i got minr to stay on awhile back
