P/S2 keyboard and mouse not functioning

Hello Members

i have got a Dell P4 Computer that is failing to find the keyboard and mouse on booting.

it shows the following error: "keyboard error or keyboard not present.
i changed several keyboard thinking that may be my keyboard is faulty but this did not help.
who knows how i can fix the problem?

Use USB keyboard and mouse.

Well have you looked that you are putting the correct plug into the correct socket. They can both fit each hole so check you are putting them into the right port first of all.
If you are puttin them into the right ports, then check for dust and foreign objects in the port on in the plug. Clean them out and try it again.
Going to USB technology is another method but not necessary until you have found the problem your current peripherals.
