I am going upgrade my present Tiscali Dial up to TalkTalk free broadband and would like to use my own wireless router but TalkTalk tell me they cannot guarantee the connection unless I use their own supplied wireless router or modem I think thats ridiculous whats your thoughts

They just want you to spend more money with them, and not the competition!
If you have the correct hardware and software, there is no reason why it shouldn't work. Go for whatever option suits you and your needs/requirements.
