computer keeps restarting

Hey, computer keeps restarting. It gets as far as when it says. "WINDOWS NOW STARTING UP" then it just restarts and repeats itself over and over. I have windows 2000. What is my problem.

I had a similar problem with mine, is it restarting at exactly the same place every time or at slightly different times.

mine turned out to be a problem with the cpu overheating because the fan had come loose.
