Everyone with Java knowledge can apply, no jMoinkeyEngine experience is required.
The jMonkey is a game engine so the difference is that (in case you are a programmer) that you do not have to code the engine yourself, only need to understand how it works and alter it's code based on our needs. So technically it just makes your life easier even if you are not familiar with it. At least an everage programmer is capable of this (understanding the functions and code of other programs.) And as my teammates (programmer, level designer) described, the engine is very easy to use.
