Senior Web Developer (Top-Tier Well-Funded PRE-IPO Company in Palo Alto)

At the core of our product is the customer, and we are working hard to make sure we create and design experiences with the customer in mind.
We're looking for a super star to help us design and deploy a best of breed consumer web site that works flawlessly and constantly delights our visitors. You should be well versed in accessible HTML/CSS based layouts, JavaScript, and PHP and should enjoy bringing UI prototypes to life on the web. We are looking for a creative, hard-working developer who wants to be part of a team that is bringing about serious change while having serious fun.
You'll be responsible for developing well coded pages and applications on a high profile consumer web site that will be used by thousands of users each day. You will have the opportunity to make a big impact in our fast growing company. You should be well versed on the latest front-end web technologies and enjoy making technology recommendations that meet both the business and end user goals. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of User Experience Design, database & web application engineers, Customer Care, and Product Marketing.
We'd like to talk to you if:
• At least 5 years of web development experience using HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Experience with PHP and MySQL (both ground-up development and working with opensource and third-party applications) SOAP/WSDL, XML, Solid Photoshop skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven track record of working in a dynamic, team setting
• Bachelors degree, or equivalent, in a related field
• A portfolio demonstrating a history of web development projects, as evidenced by URLs to the sites you have developed and have passion for graceful technology and stellar user experiences.
• You will report to the Director of Online Experience/UED, but will work extensively with Marketing, Customer Experience, and Product teams.
