Windows XP NOT FULLY INSTALLED ERROR on start up

When I boot my HP pavillion x1963, it seems to be starting fine until after the Windows XP screen comes and goes, then an error box appears with "THE SYSTEM IS NOT FULLY INSTALLED. PLEASE RUN SETUP AGAIN." I have tried the recovery disk, but got no results. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I just bought this used, so I'm not sure what was going on with it when this error message started.

in other word u got a limputer hahahaha. any way do u have a winxp cd? do a full reinstall

All I have ir a restore disk. I will have to get the winxp disk to do a full install.

how many restore disk you have, pop it in and give it a whirle if it ask for another disk you are SOL.
