Hello!

I am a beginner with game programming, and I need some guidelines...

Many people say that a book is a good starting point, but what is the easiest???:

Allegro, DirectX etc.

I don't know!

Thanks in advance...

Hi
Books are always good to start but internet is also not a good choice. You can try the following site:
www.freeprogrammingresources.com
www.computer-mentors.co.uk/computermentors/ c---game-programming-tutorial.html
www3.telus.net/alexander_russell/ course/introduction.htm

If you find anything of your interest don't forget to reply me.

Thanks! but....

I have already found some promising books, but my question (maybe my point wasn't clear enough) was:

What would be good to start with for game programming with C++:

Allegro, DirectX, STL (Which there is a book about) or anything else you might suggest.

Thank for any help!

PS: I will check out the links, thanks!
