Newbie Poster
Internet Explorer Prosearching.com/passthrough problems I have recently had a problem where this prosearching.com thing keeps coming up everytime I start my browser and it changes my webpage and pop-ups with a toolbar I dont need. How do I get rid of this?! Help me!

You are infected with spyware. Here are some programs that you should download, install, update, and run:
Ad-Aware SE Personal
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ - This program will scan your system for spyware, and remove it for you.
Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.3
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html - This is another spyware scanner. It doesn't hurt to have more than one scanner, as some scanners find things that others miss.
SpywareBlaster 3.2
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/sbdownload.html - This program will prevent most spyware from installing itself onto your browser and computer.
That oughta do it
Update the programs every now and again to make sure you are protected from the latest threats. Each program has update functions within them

You may also want to download HijackThis from here and scan and save and post your results in the Security forum for one of the security experts to take a look at and make sure it is clean after running the programs that Paddy mentioned above. You can download HijackThis from here:
