SUMMARY:
The Senior Developer is an individual that will combine strong technical experience with business acumen to ensure that effective technical solutions are designed and implemented to meet business requirements and generate real value for the business. This individual is accountable for the quality and delivery of business system commitments on schedule, within prescribed resource limits, and in accordance with client requirements and departmental standards. They will provide leadership and actively participate in and help deliver proposal, analysis, design, and development activities, while supervising members of a small project or support team.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform analysis and design of application development systems and their components including: estimate work effort, develop user requirements and functional alternatives, develop detailed program specifications, develop systems integration requirements, design data model, document process flow, and define production schedule.
Code and document system functionality that adheres to standards. Generally responsible for the most complex business logic and/or technical components of a system.
Respond to and resolve user inquiries.
Continuously expand and develop technical skill set.
Identify, recommend and implement improvements to current area of responsibility.
Provide associate supervision, mentoring and performance evaluation input.


REQUIRED SKILLS:
3-5 years C++, programming experience with both Client and Server side development required and a desire to doing both. Real time development experiences a huge plus.
Experience required with one or more of theses databases: Sybase, MySQL or SQL Server.

Desired:
Heavy trading or financial services experience.
- Expertise in the development of analytical applications involving regression modeling,
Optimization, multivariate techniques or other mathematical/statistical techniques.
Excellent organizational and communication skills must be fluent in written and oral English with excellent mathematic skills.

EDUCATION
Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree. Prefer MBA.
