Sum of field

  #1
Oct 4th, 2007
I am using oracle query in that four fields are number.
I am subtracting that field such as (field1 - field2 -field3 - field4) as DNF
Actually I am creating query in view. While creating this view the last field DNF is created as varchar2(40) automatically.
I am using this view in crystal report 8.5. I want to calculate that field grand total. But in crystal report it showing string, So Crystal Report is not giving sum of option.
So please give me solution.
