My Computer Icon Linked To System Properties: How Do I Fix It?

  #1
Aug 13th, 2004
I have got Win98SE, and have had a tough time with CoolWebSearch, Bridge.dll, BridgeX.dll and all sorts of other spyware that wreck havoc on my comp. However, today I found out that double clicking My Computer makes the System Properties open up. Of course, I can simply right click and press Open, but I can't understand how System Properties is linked to My Computer. Are there any things I can do to fix it (such as Registry editing?)

Thanx

Try pressing and releasing alt, ctrl, and shift. Sometimes, a key gets stuck or toggled on, and doing this releases it.

Old computers are getting to be a lost art. Here at Uncreative Labs, we still enjoy using the old computers. Sometimes we want to see how far a particular system can go, other times we use a stock system to remind ourselves of what we once had.
