i have a windows home edition os,which has been upgraded to windows xp pro os,now i want to uninstall windows xp pro but its not in my add/remove programs list,how can i unistall it as i tried to relaod windows home edition back on to pc but it wont let me do it as it says i have newer version of xp on pc.Please can some one help also i,m having problems formatting as i want to reset my pc back to factory settings and wipe my hard drive.

I'd use a second PC to host the drive. I'd re-partition it (FDISK). Format it and transfer it back to the intended system.

I would then boot from the XP Home CD and proceed from there. Not mine to question why anyone would want to regress from XP Pro ....
